Almost £4,000 has been donated to local charities by the famous Purple Helmets.

The biking group raised the money during TT 2018 during a number of performances across the Island.

Hospice Isle of Man and Cystic Fibrosis Isle of Man each received a £1,500 donation.

The latter charity also benefitted from an extra £700 donation.

The Purple Helmets provided displays on Douglas Promenade in conjunction with The Hooded Ram.

A spokesman for the group said: "We would like to thank our fans and the Hooded Ram for their great support."
