Isle of Man based film Mindhorn Official Trailer released

by LC

The trailer for Mindhorn, a film set on the Isle of Man and made in partnership with Pinewood Pictures and supported by the Department of Economic Development, has had its first official trailer released yesterday (15th March).

Julian Barrett, star of the Mighty Boosh, Steve Coogan and Simon Farnaby are among some of the well-known names who star in the Action/Comedy which was filmed on the Island in 2015 and is directed by Sean Foley.

Over 100 extras were used while filming on the Island with scenes shot in various locations around the Isle of Man during the summer.

The trailer was launched by Empire to their 2.5 million unique users with the following film description:

“Action movies are generally set in New York. Maybe Los Angeles or Miami. Sometimes London or Paris. But rarely the Isle of Man (population: 85,000), the small British dependency off the coast of the Lake District. That inauspicious locale is exactly where new action comedy Mindhorn is set, from the pens of Mighty Boosh alumni Julian Barrett and Simon Farnaby, who also star.”

Mindhorn is the 106th film to shoot on the Isle of Man in its 20-year industry and the first film to be set on the Island too.
